Your tasks
> Designing project components while adhering to customer specifications, relevant laws, regulations, internal standards, and norms
> Close collaboration with the customer (technical coordination) and autonomous handling of the design tasks
> Implementing design changes for products, assemblies, product packaging, individual components, as well as fixtures, test fixtures, gauges, and tools
> Designing innovative reusable load carriers and assembly fixtures to optimize internal and customer-side assembly and logistics processes
> Developing solution proposals for the customer
> Material and technology selection with regard to manufacturability, manufacturing costs, and deadlines.
> Ensuring and verifying manufacturability
> Creating and reviewing accurate design-related production documents
> Defining and establishing quality requirements regarding tolerances
> Generating all necessary technical documents
> Continuous data management (CAD, PDM, other department-relevant data)
> Collaborating with the project manager to achieve project goals (costs, deadlines, and quality)
> Procuring parts for prototypes
> Technical discussions with suppliers
> Evaluation of the initial commercial and technical offers from suppliers
> Supervision and management of external designers
Qualifications
> Technical education (BHS, FH, UNI, HTL)
> Knowledge of 3D design systems and PDM (proficiency in CREO desirable)
> Project management (basic knowledge)
> Good written and spoken English skills
> Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
> (Several years of) practical experience in the metalworking or similar industry is advantageous
> Proficiency in 3D design systems is advantageous
> Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and material usage is advantageous

For this position, we offer an attractive salary based on full-time employment, following the Collective Agreement for the Metal Industry, with potential overpayment depending on qualifications and professional experience.
